First Annual Meeting of the MCAA Chinese Scholars Association and China-Europe Forum on Science and Technology Talent Held in Munich

On April 1-2, 2023, the first annual meeting of the MCAA Chinese Scholars Association and the China-Europe Forum on Science and Technology Talent was held in Munich in a hybrid format, attracting more than 50 in-person delegates from over 20 countries and more than 6,500 online viewers.

The meeting aimed to strengthen communication among Marie Curie scholars across disciplines, promote exchanges and cooperation between the Marie Curie Actions community and well-known institutions and organizations in China and abroad, and deepen collaboration between Chinese and European scholars and enterprises in different fields.

Four academicians were invited to the meeting, including Prof. Liqiu Meng, former Senior Vice President of the Technical University of Munich and member of the German National Academy of Sciences and Humanities, who delivered a welcome address. Invited academy speakers also included Zhong Lin Wang, Deliang Chen, and Shumin Duan, alongside more than ten other leading experts from different sectors.

The event received coverage from a wide range of official media outlets and professional platforms, including major Chinese national and regional news organizations as well as European media and academic exchange channels. At the time of reporting, related coverage had accumulated more than one million views, further underscoring the importance and urgency of China-Europe science and technology collaboration and talent exchange.
