Third Annual Meeting of the MCAA Chinese Scholars Association and Global Youth Innovation Carnival Held in Guangzhou

From August 3 to 7, 2025, more than one hundred outstanding young scholars, renowned academicians, experts, and Marie Curie scholars from top universities including Harvard, MIT, Oxford, and Cambridge gathered at HKUST (Guangzhou) in Nansha, Guangzhou for the third annual meeting of the association and the 2025 Global Youth Innovation Carnival.

The carnival was jointly organized by the MCAA Chinese Scholars Association and HKUST (Guangzhou), with guidance from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security's Center for International Exchange of Professionals and the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange.

Focusing on frontier science and technology, the event built a high-quality platform for academic exchange, networking, and industry connection through keynote speeches, thematic forums, exchange visits, in-depth dialogue, and industry matchmaking.

Nearly 1,000 applications were received from overseas PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and young faculty members worldwide. The final program brought together outstanding young scholars and more than one hundred Marie Curie scholars from dozens of top institutions, including Harvard, MIT, Oxford, and Cambridge.

The invited academicians and experts included leading researchers from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the European Academy of Sciences, the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, the Canadian Academy of Engineering, and other major international institutions, reflecting the event's strong academic profile and international reach.
