State‑level Embodied AI Platform Lands in Chengdu to Train Robots with Sourced Datasets

On July 11, 2026, OpenAtom OpenLET, a national open‑source embodied AI dataset community, launched a Chengdu working group at UESTC. It has open‑sourced 60,000+ minutes of real‑robot data to lower R&D barriers. The group will partner with local universities and enterprises to add southwest‑specific data, drive research and talent training, and empower smart manufacturing and humanoid robotics in western China.

At ICoCTA 2025, UESTC Robotics Research Center undergraduate Hao Lin won Best Oral Presentation for her OIOC framework for unknown nonlinear systems, integrating neural observer, DREM, and critic network to ensure convergence and stability under relaxed excitation, highlighting the center's adaptive control strength.
